Cornhusk Nativity

This is a unique nativity carefully made with cornhusk and twine. The natural material recalls the humble stable of Jesus' birth, and the figures are about eight inches tall. Each piece is lovingly crafted in the Philippines by single mother Louela Nalzaro, who walks up into the nearby hills to collect the cornhusks, and then diligently works to create the nativities to provide for herself and her children. The set comes with an artisan card showing Louela and telling her story.
