Women's Centre in Keru

The Women's Training and Empowerment Centre in Keru, India, is a very special place. Managed by His Highness Maharaja Hanwant Singhji Charitable Trust, it is a place where village women can come to learn basic life skills and also vocational skills, such as sewing and embroidery. These beautiful women have made many of Elevita's drawstring bags. For most of the women, sewing for Elevita is the first economic opportunity they have ever had, and the money they earn gives them increased opportunity in their homes and in the village. This is a wonderful institution that Elevita has been very proud to support.
